For the sixth time the frequent flyer magazine "Business Traveller" has awarded the Steigenberger Hotels AG with its "Business Traveller Award" as the best hotel group in Germany. Once again the company has succeeded in provided great satisfaction for its guests through the excellent quality and service offered. Around 3,000 readers participated in this survey and accordingly ranked Steigenberger in first place, in comparison with the competition, for the criteria friendliness, atmosphere and room fixtures and fittings.
n 2001 the principal shareholders of the Steigenberger Hotels AG, Anne-Marie Steigenberger, Christine Steigenberger-Woeller, Claudia Steigenberger-Loulakis and Bettina Steigenberger, as well as the speaker for the Board of Directors, Karl A. Schattmaier, were voted the "Hotelier of the Year" by the publishing group Deutscher Fachverlag, Frankfurt and the business journal NGZ. This award not only honoured the family tradition but also the modern management and the visionary corporate strategies, which have been fostered and implemented by both the family and the management board for many years.
Beside the award "Hotelier of the Year", the Steigenberger Hotels AG also received the Travel Star Gold Award for the second year in succession from the Swiss travel industry, as the best hotel chain of the year. The Travel Star Award, the most renowned award of the Swiss Tourism Industry, is awarded every year in the category "Hotel chains" by the Swiss journal for tourism "Travel Inside". The decisive factors for this award are, beside the number of recommendations by travel agents and the hotel service for guests, also how the hotel chain works together with the travel agencies, for which Steigenberger received 220 of a possible 300 points. |
