| Description: | In 1935, businessman Scott King recognized the need for homelike accommodations for weary travelers and established his first motor court in San Diego. The TravelodgeŽ name was introduced in 1939 and the company was incorporated in 1946.
Today the Travelodge brand is well known internationally. In North America, Travelodge provides three distinct tiers of product for today's discriminating traveler: Travelodge Inn, Travelodge Hotels and Travelodge Suites. For the budget conscious guest, created in 1992, is the roadside, limited-service brand: Thriftlodge. Located throughout North America in business, resort and leisure areas, Travelodge's nearly 600 properties provide guests with accommodations in the places they travel to most. Properties can be found offering anywhere from 25 to 200+ rooms.
Today's guests will find outstanding amenities, such as: free in-room coffee, free weekday lobby newspaper, free incoming fax and much more. (Not available at Thriftlodge locations.) |
