Days Inn 
| Description: | Days Inn was created by Cecil B. Day in 1970, when its first hotel opened in Tybee Island, Ga. His Atlanta-based company, Days Inn of America Inc., began franchising his hotels in 1972 and within eight years created a system of more than 300 hotels in the United States and Canada. In 1992 Cendant Corporation, formerly HFS Incorporated, acquired Days Inns of America. Days Inns of America changed its name to Days Inns Worldwide on March 31, 2000, to reflect its increasing global presence.
Days Inn hotels can be found in the United States, Canada, China, Columbia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Hungary, India, Jordan, Mexico, Philippines, South Africa, United Kingdom, Uruguay and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. |
