Swaziland Airlink
| Description: | Airlink Swaziland was formed as a joint venture Company between the Swaziland Government (60%) and S.A. Airlink (40%) to take over operations, from Royal Swazi National Airways Corporation, as the National Carrier of Swaziland.
Airlink Swaziland commenced operations in July, 1999 utilising a leased Fokker F28 aircraft, from RSNAC, linking Matsapha with Johannesburg and Dar-es-Salaam.
In June, 2000 due to excess capacity and high operating costs, the F28 aircraft was replaced with the Jetstream J41 and an additional service was introduced, each day, further improving accessibility to and from Swaziland.
An average of 5 000 passengers and 5 000 kilos of cargo are carried each month. |
