Virgin America Elevate

The airline industry in the United States has been very competitive for several decades. The chances were not favorable but one newcomer to the industry survived the intense competition and has secured a place among the other viable commercial airline companies. Virgin America is the company and their humble beginning started on August 8, 2007. This airline was intended to be a low cost option for those travelers who wished to travel from major west coast cities to large cities on the east coast. Virgin America calls the San Francisco, California area home and this serves as an ideal starting point for those cross country flights.

To attract new customers and to generate repeat business the airline had to develop an incentive. Like many other airlines, Virgin America developed a loyalty program known as Elevate in which passengers earned points based on the amount of money that they spent, rather than based on the total distance that they traveled. The Elevate frequent flyer program creates the ability for a customer to earn points not only for flying with Virgin America but also with partners. And, of course, there is also the Virgin America Visa Card that helps filling your Elevate Account. The Elevate program proudly advertises no black out dates and flight packages beginning at 2,500 points. Unlike many competitors, Virgin America has one standard class of membership level, so everyone who joins falls into the same Elevate level.
