Thalys TheCard
Thalys provides rail service between Belgium, France, Netherlands, and Germany. Their loyalty program is called Thalys TheCard. This program allows members a number of exclusive advantages, such as low-cost tickets, travel specials, and member services. Members earn miles by buying Thalys tickets and spending money with Thalys partners. Miles are not earned by distance, rather they are earned by money spent. Silver members earn miles at the rate of 1 per Euro spent. The higher tiers earn miles at the rate of 2 per Euro spent.
Thalys TheCard has three tier levels: Silver, Gold, and Platinum. The Silver tier is the level that new members start at. The Gold tier is earned by making only 10 to 28 trips on Thalys in a single calendar year. Gold members can take advantage of TheCard concierge services and can stay in Regus Business Lounges. The Platinum tier is earned after more than 28 trips in a single year. Platinum members receive additional benefits such as reserved parking, upgraded service, and special discounts. Once a tier is earned, it is retained for two years.
Members can redeem miles for a variety of awards. Reward tickets are available for all destinations. Soon, members will also be able to redeem miles for a new variety of awards. The number of miles required depends on the destination and availability of seats. |
