Japan Airlines JAL Mileage Bank
The Japan Air Lines Mileage Bank (JMB) frequent flyer program is free and miles expire 36 months years after they are
earned, if there is no mileage earned or passenger did not earn points, membership is cancelled.
In 2007 Japan Air Lines became a member of the Oneworld Alliance, allowing passengers connecting
with alliance member airlines to earn miles on JMB.
JMB membership is divided into three tiers called Crystal, Sapphire, and Diamond. Crystal requires 30,000 fly-on points or 30 flights with a minimum of 10,000 fly-on points. Sapphire requires 50,000 fly-on points or 50 flights and a minimum of 15,000 fly-on points.
Diamond requires 100,000 fly-on points or 120 flights and a minimum of 35,000 fly-on points.
Each tier offers a level of benefits, starting with Crystal and rising to the highest tier, Diamond.
Crystal offers a 50% mileage bonus, domestic service upgrade, 5 airport lounge coupons, priority
stand-by and boarding, extra baggage allowance.
Sapphire offers a 100% mileage bonus, 1 class upgrade coupon on any flight, airport lounge for
companion, priority check-in and extra luggage allowance.
Diamond offers a 125% mileage bonus, 8 upgrade certificates, 2 hotel coupons, 3 airport lounge coupons, no mileage expiration, toll-free phone.
JMB loyalty program members can also redeem miles for JAL coupon awards to be used for in-flight shopping or discounts at JAL affiliated hotels. |
