Thai Airways International Royal Orchid Plus
Your status in the THAI Airways International Royal Orchid Plus membership program is determined by the qualifying miles you earn with any THAI & Star Alliance flight companies. Qualifying miles are the actual miles flown, so miles earned through promotional offers are not counted towards your membership status.
There are three Status levels: Member, Silver and Gold. As soon as you have earned enough Qualifying Miles, you can enjoy the benefits of Silver or Gold status immediately, and they remain in effect for an entire two years.
Silver can be reached by earning 10,000 – 15,000 qualifying miles. When you reach Silver, you'll receive 3,000 threshold bonus miles. If your flight is overbooked, you will be put on a priority waiting list. You will also enjoy streamlined baggage handling, along with an extra allowance of 10 kg of baggage on your THAI flights. Gold can be attained by earning 50,000 – 80,000 qualifying miles. When you reach Gold, you'll receive a Gold membership card, two luggage tags, and 5,000 threshold bonus miles. On your next booking, you will be entitled to a round-trip upgrade, as well as priority check-in, baggage handling and boarding. If your preferred THAI flight is fully booked, you will go to the top of the list for airport standby, but the worst case scenario would be you're guaranteed seating in Economy Class. Your luggage will be granted an additional allowance of 20 kg, or you can take along one extra piece of baggage. You'll also have the luxury of entering any Star Alliance Gold lounge while you wait for your flight. |
