MEA Cedar Miles
People frequently flying Middle East Airlines (MEA) should consider joining the Cedar Miles frequent flyer program. By joining the loyalty program, flyers will collect Cedar Miles on each trip completed. Miles are calculated by the amount of distance between the point of departure, and where the passenger is landing. This means that a passenger traveling on a flight from Beirut to Abu Dhabi will earn 1,312 Cedar Miles, one Cedar Mile for each physical mile travelled. Even if someone is taking a short flight, they will still be guaranteed a minimum of 500 Cedar Miles.
It is only possible to earn Cedar Miles on MEA or MEA code-shared flights during one calendar year. Earned points help to raise a passenger's status from Basic to Prestige, or Prestige to Elite. These upgrades are easy to earn for frequent flyers, Prestige requires 20,000 miles and Elite requires 40,000. By upgrading to either of the top tiers, passengers will be assured of several extra amenities. These include a dedicated service desk, preferred seat selection, Cedar Class check-in, and priority boarding and baggage handling. People flying Elite can also expect guaranteed seats in the Economy class, protected seat numbers, 50% bonus miles on each Elite flight, and 3,000 additional miles for every five additional flights flown at the Elite level. |
