Singapore Airlines Krysflier
Singapore Airlines Krysflier is a Frequent Flyer program offered by Singapore Airlines for travelers to earn miles or points based on the distance flown on its airline or on its partner airlines.
As a customer loyalty program, the KrisFlyer program enables frequent travelers of Singapore Airlines to enjoy travel benefits based on the number of miles earned. The program was initiated when Singapore Airlines became a full member of the Star Alliance in 2000, a global alliance network of international airlines. Miles earned under KrisFlyer program can be redeemed for travel or flight upgrade on Singapore Airlines, SilkAir or certain Star Alliance airlines.
Travelers can enroll for the KrisFlyer program at Singapore Airlines’ website. KrisFlyer offers three membership levels – the KrisFlyer membership, the KrisFlyer Elite Silver membership and the KrisFlyer Elite Gold membership. Each level of membership offers different categories of benefits with the most exclusive benefits being offered to Elite Gold members.
A KrisFlyer member who has enrolled for 12 months and has achieved 25,000 Elite miles within this period is eligible to qualify as a KrisFlyer Elite Silver member. For those who have achieved 50,000 Elite miles within the 12-month period upon enrolment will be upgraded to the Elite Gold membership.
Elite miles can be earned by accumulating points when flying First Class, Business Class or Economy Class on Singapore Airlines, SilkAir and some Star Alliance airlines. Miles can also be earned by exchanging membership rewards or services utilized with other Singapore Airlines’ partners as listed in its official website. Singapore Airlines has built affiliations with dozens of business partners such as hotels, serviced apartments, credit cards, cruises, telecommunication, car rentals and even other airlines. |
