Royal Brunei Royal Skies
Royal Skies is the frequent flyer program of the Royal Brunei airlines. This airline existed prior to the independence of Brunei from the United Kingdom. The small airline had a few planes in the beginning and has been going to a series of consolidations and restructured throughout the years, subtracting and adding destinations. It still has plans to expand, as it has only a few destinations. All flights are non-smoking and alcohol free. The sale of alcohol is prohibited in Brunei, therefore, banned in flights.
Royal Skies Royal Brunei's Loyalty Program started in May of 2003. The members of the program earn miles or earn points for flying Royal Brunei or flying and using the products and services of the partner companies. There are three tiers for membership. The blue tier, which is a basic membership, and two elite memberships, which are silver and gold. The membership does not expire as long as the member is active - meaning at least once - during a 3-year period. Silver and Gold cards do have an expiration date. A member will have to use a blue card if the elite membership expires and will have to work the way up to reach the level again; however, the total miles reached do not expire - only what applies to elite membership benefits.
Members can redeem their awards for free flights or an upgrade for a seat. Elite members enjoy additional bonuses and baggage allowances. Gold members have access to the Royal Brunei lounge reserved for business class. The company has an online web to apply for membership on the program. |
