SAS Euro Bonus
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS), an international airline serving European, Asian, and North and South American destinations, unveiled its awards program in 1992. What started out as a simple frequent flyer program, where points were earned as a result of booking flights with SAS, has since become an awards program that includes rewards for hotels, auto rentals, and numerous stores. Further, not only are rewards included booking flights, but also for shopping online at selected retailers.
As a loyalty program, Eurobonus rewards those members who accrue a certain number of points in a year by upgrading their membership levels. There are three tiers: Basic, Silver, and Gold. As members earn more points throughout the year, their level is upgraded. Silver and Gold members receive even more points from their purchases, increasing rewards for the cardholder. There are over 60 different companies partnered with the SAS Eurobonus program.
For those members who need a few extra points to bring a desired trip or purchase within reach, SAS also offers the ability to purchase points online in bulk. There is no limit to how many points you can buy, and come in blocks of 1,000.
With benefits including retail discounts, extra baggage on flights, waitlist priority, and charitable donations, it is easy to see that the SAS Eurobonus program extends well beyond the airport. |
