Air Mauritius Kestrelflyer
Kestrelflyer is a loyalty program for flyers in Air Mauritius. It was named for the kestrel, a kind of falcon found on the island nation of Mauritius.
Guests who are new to the program will be issued a Red Card. They can immediately begin to earn frequent flyer miles. Once they have earned 24,000 miles over a 36-month period, they will be upgraded to Kestrelflyer Plus/Silver Card status. Silver Card membership affords flyers a priority spot on the airline’s waitlist, and a greater weight allowance for carry-on bags. Should members desire helicopter services, they can procure them at a ten percent discount. The next membership level is Kestrelflyer Elite/Gold Card status, which is awarded to members who earn 100,000 miles in three years. With this level of membership, members can take advantage of awards including fifteen percent discounts on helicopter flights and access to associated airport lounges all over the world, free of charge.
The Air Mauritius Kestrelflyer frequent flyer program’s points awards depend on the destination to which the members are traveling. The longer the trip, the more miles members can earn. Flyers who travel to Europe or cities in the eastern area of Australia will earn 40,000 miles. Trips to Hong Kong will earn 32,000 miles. Trips to Perth, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Mumbai, Nairobi, or other locations in India or Africa will earn miles as well. Members can also redeem points for checking in online if they have an e-ticket. |
